About Me
I am currently working as an Senior Manager (Technology R&D) in M.H. Alshaya Co. W.L.L. (Kuwait). My responsibilities include spearheading and managing all technology and research activities aimed at improving the business efficiency of the enterprise. I am currently involved in technologies like service oriented architectures (SOA), web services, workflow (BPEL), business process modelling, enterprise application integration (EAI), collaborative portals, enterprise document management systems, and paperless corporate environments. Prior to my employment at Alshaya, I worked as a Graduate Researcher at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) in the technology domain of Grid Computing. At Argonne, I worked with the Java Cog Kit team on areas of Grid abstractions, Grid services, and ad hoc Grids. I received my Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from University of North Texas (USA) in Dec 2002 and May 2006 respectively.
This blog is about technology and focuses on various open-source and standards-based middleware systems. Special focus is put on areas of business intelligence, enterprise application integration (EAI), collaborative portals, message oriented middleware (MOM), enterprise service bus (ESB), service oriented architecture (SOA), document management systems (DMS), mobile solutions, security infrastructure, and IT governance.
